Khmer Brewery Limited Offers USD 50,000 to Poor Students

Phnom Penh – Khmer Brewery Limited (KHB) offered USD 50,000 to poor students nationwide in Cambodia through Association of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN and Samdach Kitiprittbandit Scholarship Students (AMT). The memorandum of understanding signing ceremony was conducted at Cambodia Beer Factory on 27 July, 2015.

Oknha Leang Khun, Chairman of KHB, says not only is KHB a profit company, but it also contributes a lot to society as part of its corporate social responsibility.

He says he hopes this humble contribution can help enable AMT to allow poor students to pursue their education for their bright future so that they can help strengthen the country’s human resources.

H.E. Hun Maneth, President of AMT, says that the money will increase the ability and efficiency of the AMT in assisting poor students who are in need of help. He adds that since 2008 AMT have offered scholarships to 11,200 students nationwide and each year AMT can offer 2,000 scholarships.

KHB, besides giving scholarship to AMT, also offers 50 scholarships for higher education every year, and has contributed to developing country in such sectors as Buddhism, education, and humanitarians.
